Greenville Drivers Face Long Lines Amid Southeast Gas Shortage

There were long lines at gas stations throughout southern states on September 18 after a pipeline leak in Alabama disrupted the supply of fuel. North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama and Virginia faced shortages after the Colonial Pipeline spill in Alabama. Each state has declared a state of emergency, according to reports. While some stations awaiting deliveries ran out of gas, drivers reported jumps in prices, and officials warned of price gouging. Heeba Sarsour, who took this video on Sunday, September 18, said the Sam's Club in Greenville, North Carolina, was the last station with gas in the area. Only Sam's Club members could fuel up at the station, she said. Credit: Instagram/Heeba Sarsour
